My name is Alex Gwyther.
I’m a live performance photographer based in Essex.
I’ve been involved with live performance for over 40 years and have been photographing shows and concerts for almost 30 years.
Over the years I have been lucky to have trained with top photographers and photographic companies.
I specialize in capturing the special moments of live performance. I use digital either mirrorless or full-frame as I feel best suits the event.
I’ve been published in The Stage and on BBC and have been fortunate to have taken performance photographs at many iconic places such as The O2, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, DisneyWorld Florida and Blackpool Winter Gardens.
Aside from live performance, I was one of the first photographers to capture Anthony Joshua at the London Olympics on the superb Olympus 75mm 1.8 lens.
Principal Performance Photographic Influence is Nobby Clark (the undisputed governor of theatre photography!).
